Does intuition help leaders?

I am a highly intuitive person....I know that from my  MBTI assessment. Therefore my take on intuition may be biased. I do tend to think that intuition helps leaders lead through vague and uncertain times. When situations and scenarios are obvious and straightforward, intuition doesn't help much but it is a very powerful tool during uncertain scenarios.

If you are an intuitive person, you should take advantage of this tool. Learn to rely on your intuition. Learn to base decisions upon it. You will find that it works. Leadership involves learning and practicing various soft skills, it is not as straightforward as exercising technical skills. Leaders often run into situations where it is not obvious which path to take or which decision to make. Even though you run through pros and cons and risks involved, ultimately what guides you is your intuition.

Intuition combined with experience is a very powerful combination. One good advice I got was to keep in mind that even highly intuitive leaders are not 100% right all the time so be mindful of that when you are basing decisions on intuition. Do due diligence and trust your instincts.
